History Does Repeat Itself

The other week I was in HMV at Westfield London (Shepherds Bush), standing in line waiting to get the CD “What the Future Holds Part 2” signed by Steps.

Not surprising they were playing the album while we were waiting.

(Some great songs on both Part 1 and the new Part 2)

When suddenly I’m listening to a song that I know the words to.

This is surprising as I haven’t heard any of the tracks yet…

Steps – The Slightest Touch

The more I listen, the more it’s familiar – especially when I’m able to sing along with it.

And that’s when it fully clicked – I do know it – The Slightest Touch from Five Star!

It’s the only cover on the album, but what a great song.

Here’s the original as I remember it…

Five Star – The Slightest Touch

When I downloaded the Steps album and listened to the track I surprised myself at how much of the lyrics I remembered.

So it really is true that if you wait long enough history will repeat itself.
